Ten Ways to Bring Down the Machine
Dunewalkers are a secret society formed by Anakil 4,000 years ago to destroy the Obelisks of the Sun God Ra. They are a loose affiliation, hardly recognizing themselves as being formal members of any organization. Dunewalkers are born Dunewalkers; it’s who they are. All Dunewalkers are intensely curious, drawn to ancient history and undiscovered truths, and before long, they learn the nature of their calling.
The Dunewalkers are drawn together by an urge to travel, and when two Dunewalkers meet, they seem have known each other for years, despite having just met. They recognize a kindred spirit in one another. That being said, Dunewalkers rarely stick together for long. They travel where the mood takes them, and their mood often takes them to where their needed most (almost as if they are being directed by a force outside their understanding).
Just as all Dunewalkers get along, all Dunewalkers innately despise the Seekers of Ra and its members. Dunewalkers can feel when a Seeker enters a room, and a Seeker feels the same way. Often, Dunewalkers and Seekers are drawn to the same area, and often develop similar interests, as if both are being directed by opposing forces, competing with each other for knowledge. Every so often, Dunewalkers and Seekers motives align just right, usually when clear and great evil threatens an area, and the two groups work together; but their is certainly not a good working relationship between the two.
